Olney 0 - Newton Longville 0
Firstly I apologise for my lack of discipline on Sunday, the only saving grace was that as the away team we never had to fork out for the refs expenses. We never really got the run of the green (field would be more fitting, hardly a pitch). Today was a perfect example of home advantage, just as MK United did against us Newton Longville played to their strengths, long throws, long goal kicks and very effective on a small pitch. We can feel frustrated that we never made the man advantage count but it was difficult to exploit space on such a small pitch. (there I go again, pitch, field !) It was a hot day and we worked very hard, we competed and never gave up, if you Analise the game we probably had ten shots on target and their keeper did well to keep a couple of them out. Mr Brown was excellent today, showed some great handling and capped off a good performance with a great penalty save, a deserved MOTM. I tried to give you all a decent spell on the pitch, this can sometimes unsettle the team and it is difficult to get a rhythm going, this was evident today. As always focus on the positives, we never conceded and therefore we never lost, strange for us not to score though. One game to go against Bromham, lets finish the season on a high, most importantly enjoy it. A good hard working performance that maybe lacked a wee bit of composure. (Mr Denham, you now have the worst disciplinary record at the club ! - actually you don't..................thats me) RESPECT - a great concept for all grass roots football but it needs to be a two way process. (Rant over - vote Clarke)

The ref was shit
The referee was 'shit' yes but still he wasn't playing the game for us....more against us....but anyway the referee can be annoying sometimes but he didn't affect our performance did he?
What was the refs name?
dinglederryIt would be wrong to publish the Refs name on a BLOG such as this.
